Nautica Malibu Triathlon

This was David's first triathlon.
According to the interview he gave to ET on the beach, the swim took him by surprise. He said he had been a
swimmer all his life and therefore didn't feel the need to 'train' extensively and concentrated his
efforts else where. In addition, the morning was very foggy and he missed a buoy and ended up swimming
quite a bit extra. In the picture to the right, David was telling Nanci that he felt like he was swimming in circles.
If you look close, standing behind the fence you can see Nanci. She's wearing the red sweatshirt we later see David wearing.
His times for the event were:
Overall time ~ 1:52:16
1/2 mile swim 23:31, 18 mile bike 1:00:03, 4 mile run 28:44

AN: Can you find me? Top right side, yellow sweater, taking picture, green JAG hat that was given at fanfest that year. Now you understand why I am the way I am. I saw *that* in person. And before you ask...no my picture did not turn out. Darn slow digital cameras!
