David James Elliott guest-stars as NFL quarterback Terry Parsons on this long-running soap opera. Terry is in rehab for known addictions to alcohol and drugs. He also has a secret addiction - to sex. He meets Alison and after a somewhat hostile beginning, helps her to confront her addiction. They become lovers and Terry proposes marriage. Alison is hesitant so Terry insists that she wear his ring in friendship until she was ready. When Alison walks in on Terry in bed with another woman, she realizes that he is using his sexual-compulsion as an excuse to prey on women.
