Home for the Holidays with Martha Stewart
December 4, 2001

My earliest memories of Christmas
in Canada were ...
we would buy a Christmas tree
and we'd bring it back.

My grandfather had this
green box that he had made.
He was a handy guy.
And it was filled with
decorations that he had
collected over the years.

And my father would put the star
on top of the tree. It was
how it always ended. You knew the
tree was done when Dad put
the star on top.

And he was always the guy
who did that. And I always ...
that was the one thing
I always wanted to do.
