The Season Five premiere picks up in real time from Harm's departure from JAG in May. Harm is now assigned to the USS Patrick Henry with Skates as his RIO. He has to contend with an arrogant young hothead of a pilot, Lt. Buxton, who will go to any lengths to prove that he, and not Harm, is the best. Against Harm's orders, Buxton attacks a convoy which turns out to be Russian peacekeepers and not enemy Serbs. This creates an international incident. Harm is caught in the middle as Buxton was under his command. Adding to the 'fun', Harm is assigned to be the Wing Legal Officer.
The "greenie board" is the board used by the naval aviators as a score card to record every pilot's carrier landings or traps. The cast and crew filmed aboard the Navy's USS John C. Stennis for this and the next two episodes.
