Harm is assigned as prosecutor in the case of a CPO charged with the murder of his wife's lover. Mac is assigned the defense, but soon detests the defendant, who triggers vivid memories of her abusive father.   Even while trying to win his case, Harm attempts to help Mac sort through her feelings.   Bud and Harriet's romance falters, because of Bud's over-conscientious work habits.
