When the President puts Colonel Cresswell, a Marine, on the short list for the new JAG appointment, the SECNAV tries to interfere in the process. Mac and Harm investigate the shooting of a Canadian fisherman by a Naval ensign.
'Watercooler' moment... discussing the new JAG... Harm expresses (once again) his displeasure with Sturgis. Mac shows concern for his & Sturgis' friendship and mentions "burying the hatchet" to which Harm answers "I can think of a few places I'd like to bury the hatchet" Another comical line... when Coates appears and says "No need to stop gossiping on my account" Harm answers, "We were done gossiping".
Arriving on ship, Harm and Mac receive a note from Bud...more discussion concerning the new JAG

Mac tells Harm that Col. Cresswell knows of her history with John Farrow. She wonders if he will reassign her or make life hell. Harm tells Mac that she has changed a lot since then and perhaps the Col. has too. She should give him a chance.
