JAG: A New Life
2-hour series pilot, September 23, 1995

A female naval aviator performs heroically in action, and becomes an overnight media darling. But as the press descends on the USS Seahawk to interview her, she disappears. The Navy sends in JAG officer Lt. Harmon Rabb and his new partner, Lt.(j.g.) Pike, to investigate.  Harm was a naval aviator and had served aboard the Seahawk before a night vision problem caused him to crash during a night landing. His RIO was killed. Harm subsequently became a lawyer with the Judge Advocate General Corps.  On board the Seahawk, Harm encounters old friends and old enemies as the investigation proceeds. When the CAG is hit during a reconnaisance flight over enemy territory, Harm fights the odds and manages to land the Tomcat, at night, and from the back seat. He also finds the truth. At the end, even his most bitter detractor acknowledges that the crash was not his fault, and that he has earned the right to wear his aviator's wings again.

Arriving on the carrier for the investigation ... Harm remembers being on the carrier as a child ...  once on deck, Harm is back in his element.

Harm, watching some night flights return, flashesback to his accident...
