DJE:    David James Elliott
RC:    Ronny Cox

(Movie skeet shooting scene)

DJE:    I have a little boy & I have a little girl---or she's 17---she's still littler than me, anyway.  But, um, you know---greatest thing that ever happened to me---those two children.

(On the set)
Crew Member:    You've got two good sides, Candace.  He only has one, so that's why......
RC:    (For DJE) No, he has none.  (Laughter)
DJE:    You may be up for a wet willy.  (Laughter)
Crew Member:    A wet willy.  Did they even do that in Canada ......
RC:    A wet willy!  (To DJE)  You've been around your kids too long.  (Both laugh!)  There's a true parent!

DJE:    I'm fortunate to have the opportunity.  When I work, it's pretty condensed and intensive, and then I'm off for longer periods of time.  So I get to, you know, wake up in the morning, every morning, with my little boy, make him breakfast, drive him to school, pick him up at the end of the day, and I kind of design my day around him.

(Movie group touch football game scene)

DJE:    I'm a guy who gives everything.  I go 100% when I go.  I don't go half way.  I don't go stick my foot (in)---I just dive right in.  I did the Ironman in Kona---I did that.  And I must have run 15-20 marathons.  Any time I went out on a training run, however long it was---10, 20 miles, whatever it was---I knew it was always important for me to finish, regardless of how long it took, whatever.  You know, I wasn't going to quit half way, because I felt that that would translate into my life, you know.   So I made that whatever it is that I do, I make sure that I finish it.  I don't leave anything half done.

(Movie home scene)

DJE:    You know, what really touched me a long time ago, when I was on a television show called JAG for a long time.  And in the beginning when we were researching, I read the officer's training manual.  And in there it says, 'If you recognize a problem and point it out, and you don't suggest a solution, you're part of the problem', you know.  And that---that spoke to me in such a big way, you know.  And it changed me.  I mean, I was effected by that.
