Episode #36; 2-14

While investigating the murder of a college student who is found dead a few days after he robbed a bank, Annabeth and the DA's office stumble upon a corrupt gambling operation that's duping college kids out of their money.

Annabeth discusses the case with Conlon. 

Conlon turns to go in a different direction, telling Annabeth he is going to pick up his daughter.  They discuss his trepidation and worries...

Conlon says that Jessica is "a bright, articulate, independent, stubborn person.  Just like her mom"   To which Annabeth responds..."And some one else I know..."

Conlon's daughter, Jessica, comes to visit.  He talks with her concerning her recent behavior, grades etc.  He isn't pleased and lets her know that he and her mother are "on the same page" when it comes to her recent antics.

Ray and Ed discuss the evidence collected with Conlon. 

Annabeth and Maureen come back from court early... after small talk with Jessica, Annabeth and Maureen beat a quick retreat... Conlon figures that something is up...

Annabeth brings Conlon up to date on the details of the case...

Conlon and Ray walk out together.  They talk about Jessica and her idea of attending Notre Dame.  Ray asks what 'mom' thinks about that.

Conlon and Jessica at dinner.  She has made her decision to go to Boston College.  Conlon has mixed feelings (it would have been nice having her close by) although he tells her it is the right decision.  Jessica admits that ND put her on a waiting list because of her recent grades.  He suggests that she can do better but then she brings him to task about not upholding his promise about visiting once a month... he too can do better.

Conlon is back at the office having taken Jessica to the airport.  Annabeth stops by... Conlon is pensive and shares his worries about Jessica.  AB shares as well about when her parents split and that kids are always testing their parents. These two have become good friends.
