Annabeth seeks the death penalty for a man who takes justice into his own hands by attempting to gun down his son-in-law after he is acquitted of murdering his daughter; however, he misses his target and accidentally wounds defense attorney Doug Hellman and kills his associate who is also a close friend of Annabeth.
Maureen fills Conlon in on the shooting...
Annabeth wants to go for the death penalty, Conlon doesn't disagree but warns that she really needs to be up to speed on the Hopkins case.
Conlon isn't happy about his office being "put on trial"...
Talking with John Marinelli, the prosecutor on the Hopkins case, did he give false hope to the Peters?
Annabeth informs Conlon that Helman forced Marinelli to bury a witness...
