While the D.A.'s office attempts to put an end to the web of police corruption plaguing the city, the case takes an unexpected turn when someone close to them is murdered.  cbs.com

Annabeth and Conlon arrive at the scene.

Back at the office - Ray and Ed show Conlon the surveillance tape of the elevators in Durkin's building.

Annabeth comes by to discuss aspects of the case.  Conlon confides that he believes his candidacy for Attorney General is over.  She teases him about still having his day job and he says 'Not for much longer if the media has it's way'.  Anabeth tries to reassure him.  He thens try to re-assure her when she says she feels guilty.  She shares that Maureen had received a threat.

Annabeth shares info on Boudreaux and a likely theory on motive.

Conlon talks with Veeder...

Conlon meets with the US Attorney that was leading the investigation and had questioned Maureen.

Maureen's funeral ...

Conlon talks with Mrs. Veeder ...

At the trial of Mrs Veeder and Deshayes ... Conlon takes the stand.

In court,  viewing Maureen's testimony to the US Attorney Grand Jury

Reading the verdict ... guilty on all counts.

Later at the Side Bar ... Congrats to Anabeth for a job well done.  Ed says it's nice what Maureen said about Conlon in her testimony and then there is some good natured ribbing about his campaign.  Hellman joins them and they all drink to Maureen.

(AN: This scene was especially great to me.  The characters had really come alive in the final three episodes and while I would have missed Maureen the new dynamic with the inclusion of Matt Ewing I think would have offered many side lines.)
