Annabeth Chase (Jennifer Finnigan) was having a lovely first season: great job as a prosecutor, new baby, cute husband - until he was hit by a drunk driver. Tell us, Home star Finnigan, is Jack (Christian Kane) really dead? "If he happened to move a little bit at the end of that last scene, it was just a blooper, because he's a goner," she says. With Jack's untimely exit, season 2's focus shifts to Annabeth's office, with new detectives played by Jon Seda and Cress Williams, and a new boss, DA James Conlon (JAG's David James Elliott). "[James is] very egotistical," says Finnigan. "Annabeth and her new boss don't get along, which will lead to sexual tension." But don't expect hanky-panky...yet. "She's had four months to mourn," says exec producer Jonathan Littman. "The audience is not going to respect her if she just jumps into bed." Envy?  Yes. Respect?  Not really.
