David James Elliott Stars in New Sci Fi Movie

From the Vancouver set of his Sci Fi Channel movie event, Knights of Bloodsteel, David James Elliott shows off his fab new flowing locks. “I had to sit through six hours of hair extensions. Living with it is a little bit of a drag,” says the JAG alum.

In the four-hour fantasy adventure, set to air April 19 and 20, David wields swords to battle evil, fire-breathing dragons as forest-dwelling warrior John Serragoth, who is out to avenge the death of his pregnant wife.

Over drinks at his hotel, David, 48, showed me a black-and-blue mark he received from a sword that “nearly slashed my eye out.” That would have left him looking much like his character’s chief adversary: the all-powerful Dragon Eye, a character David describes as “a whitish-gray demon with a third eye that opens and shoots out bolts of lightning.” As for that third eye, David says it reminds him of what Grey’s Anatomy would refer to as a “vajayjay.” But let’s not go there…
