Insert on page one:   David has starred on CBS' longest-running hour drama since it debuted, but he recently announced that this will be his last season with the show.  As he digs into a plate of pasta and a shaved-artichoke salad he says, "When JAG started in 1995, the military wasn't on anyone's mind.  Now it is."

"Everyone comes here," JAG  star David James Elliott says about Toscana, where it's easy to run into many other Hollywood stars.  On any given night, Nicole Kidman may be dining near John Travolta when Pierce Brosnan comes in  "It's really comfortable here" enthuses David, who's been a regular for 10 years.  "The first time my wife and I came in, the place was packed," recounts the actor, who has an 11 year old daughter.  "They squeezed us in.  We come for lunch and dinner, and no matter how crowded it is, they never turn us away.  It's like going home."   Home with the best food ever, because as David says. "The food is outstanding.  I try to sample everything, including the great deserts - and I've never tasted a bad dish."
