At Home with Close to Home's David James Elliott
Article Text:
David James Elliott ended up in his Brentwood house by accident. The Close to Home star was renting the place while he was building a house up the street, but when black mold claimed that project, he and his wife, Nanci, decided to buy their rental. They totally gutted the 3,500-square-foot home to turn it into their dream house. "We were in a construction zone for two years," David says. But by the time the work was done, they had a four bedroom home, complete with deck and hot tub. While his work on his former series, JAG, meant long hours away from home, David's new schedule gives him more time to spend with his kids, Stephanie, 13, and Wyatt, 3. "I wasn't around a lot when my daughter was growing up," David admits, "But I'm going to be here for my pal Wyatt."
