Davidathon 2008 Calendar Fund Raiser
This will be my 5th year of creating calendars. It is one of my favorite things that I do. Each year I get requests to make them available 'for sale' instead of by 'auction' or 'raffle'. And over the years I have looked into whether it was feasible to do so or not. I believe I have found a company that will work with me and at a price that we can afford, in other words a price that is reasonable enough that I can tack on the % for the charity and still have an affordable calendar. Quality has also been a big concern for me. I received a proof calendar from the company and I must say I am impressed. The pages are a heavy card stock ( 80lb) and glossy! It comes spiral bound and has an annual calendar for 2009 at the back. For this to work - I need a minimum of 20 orders for each calendar. Somehow - I don't think you guys will let me down.
I have a lead that I am following up on as far as the Organization that will receive these funds that I am very excited about but it is not a sure thing yet so I am going to wait to announce it. I wouldn't want to jinx it! I'll let you know as soon as I get the go-ahead. I think you will be in agreement and pleased with the choice, should it all work out.
The price for each calendar is $26 plus $2.95 for shipping. (International shipping is $7.95 for one, add $3 for each add'l calendar - sorry this is so high but the international postage rates have really gone up.)
See below for a mock up of each calendar. There are two to choose from - assuming you can choose - but then again, why choose? Treat yourself to both! The first is a "Potpourri of David" and the second is "Harmon Rabb Jr." The calendars are 11x17 open (two 11x8.5 pages) and are punched for easy wall hanging. (Please understand that as production goes slight modifications or photo exchanges may be needed for quality purposes. But for now - this is what I envision the calendars to be)
